Phishing Alert
Phishing is cyber or phone where fraudsters impersonate trustworthy entities to trick individuals into revealing sensitive information, such as passwords or credit card details, often via email or fake websites.
It has come to our attention that our North Star Family Medicine phone number has been “Spoofed” for this purpose. It looks like us calling, but it is not. Spoofing a phone number is easy to do, and there is no way we can prevent it.
If you or anyone you know receives a phone call from us asking for personal information like passwords, PINs, bank details or asking for money please know our office would never call asking for those items.
- Do not give out any pertinent information.
- Do Not click on any links if on a cell phone.
- Delete message immediately.
