May 6-12 is Nurses Week. We want to take a minute to highlight each one of our amazing nurses that are on staff at North Star Family Medicine. We are thankful for your compassion and how you make our patients experience the best it can be. Thank you Madi, Koren, LeAnn and Sam.
Meet Madi, one of the RNs at North Star Family Medicine. She has been an RN for about 8 years. She is married to Tyler and they have 3 wild kiddos and 2 Labrador’s that keep them busy. She enjoys yoga, hiking and traveling.
Madi loves our small clinic setting, our patient population, the team she works with; and she enjoys doing IV vitamin infusions. We are so lucky to have Madi on staff at North Star Family Medicine!

This is LeAnn. She moved to Baxter 4 years ago and lives with her significant other. She is currently working part time while pursuing a doctorate in occupational therapy at the U of M. She’s been working as a Medical Assistant for the past 10 years and her official title at North Star Family Medicine is CMA.
Her favorite things about working at North Star, is the private health care setting, the variety of roles she fills, (medical assisting, patient care, blood draws, and x-rays) that make every day different and exciting, and also her coworkers who create a fun and enjoyable workplace. In her free time she enjoys camping, playing pickle ball, live music and spending time with her significant other and their pets. We are so lucky to have LeAnn on staff at North Star Family Medicine.

Finally, meet Sam. She is one of our amazing RN’s and has been working at North Star Family Medicine for 2 years. She has been a nurse for over 10 years and her previous job experience is in home care, assisted living and now in a clinic setting at North Star. She has been married to her husband for 9 years and they have two wonderful kids.
Sam is from Fort Ripley and her hobbies include maintaining their hobby farm, doing anything outdoors like camping, 4 wheeling, hunting and fishing. Her favorite part about working for North Star Family Medicine is the small clinic setting that enables us to provide more personalized care for our patients. We are so happy to have Sam on staff at North Star Family Medicine!
