August 19th is National Aviation Day! In 1939 Franklin Delano Roosevelt, then President of the United States, issued a presidential proclamation to designate the anniversary of Orville Wright’s birth as the official National Aviation day. This day was created to encourage people to participate in activities that promote interest in aviation.
