Did you know there is an air quality alert for our area until today?
What does that mean for you and your health? Follow these tips from the National Weather Service.
- Stay inside if at all possible. Particularly if you have respiratory concerns or if you are a senior or a child.
- Limit your exposure to the outdoors to strictly essential activities until the air quality is better.
- Choose less strenuous activities (like walking instead of running) so you don’t breathe as hard.
- Do not burn debris or other items during an air quality alert.
- Protect your pets too: limit their time outside.
- Drive smart: keep car windows closed and use the recirculating setting.
