Julie started when we had no idea what were were doing at reception. She came into a hectic front desk and organized it beautifully.
In 2024, Julie was unofficially named our “Employee of the year” for the extra hours and extraordinary work she completed to resolve billing and clearinghouse issues during the Change Health Cyber Attack. Julie was relentless in completing paperwork to ensure we were paid. Julie also won an award for “The Most Time on Hold with a Health Insurance Company”.
Julie is the “Mom” of the clinic, taking care of the plants and providing healthy snacks to the employees who we are busy.
Jenny is our sweetest employee, and not just because she bakes an amazing chocolate cake!
She keeps us on track through out the day and pleasantly schedules patients.
In addition she helps coordinate collections for our community drives and helps the Office Manager as his unofficial administrative assistant.

Josh came in like a wrecking ball and brought energy to the clinic. He has streamlined our referrals, has a strong sense of urgency, and assists with our IV’s when the nurses are busy.
Patients often comment on his politeness and enjoy the conversations they have with him.
Greorgi started in clinic about a year ago after graduating from college. She jumped in and learned many tasks in clinic, including phlebotomy and taking x-rays.
She is our local egg dealer, and we appreciate her keeping our refrigerators stocked!
Georgi is heading to Physician Assistant school in 2026, and we are grateful to be a part of her medical education journey.

We all know the clinic would have closed if not for Sam running it. She started in the chaos of COVID and organized the clinic to what it is today.
From policies and procedures to vaccinations and staff schedules, Dr. Lelcu and Vlad pretty much let her manage all the day-to-day operations.
Patients adore her and the staff appreciate her leadership style. Our biggest concern is that she will fall through the spring ice when fishing. Although she has assured us, she can float for hours in her protective equipment, we all remind her that it is not heated, and the lake water is frigid!
Vlad came into the clinic 4 years ago to visit and was assigned to answer the phones as a volunteer employee. From then on he has taken over payroll, accounting, supply management, limited scope x-ray operator, rooming patients, maintenance, and any other job no one wants to do in clinic.
Vlad is always available for coffee runs and his biggest challenge is keeping Dr. Lelcu in line.
Vlad’s biggest accomplishment is ensuring we have multiple daily Dad jokes in clinic. Since his wife takes all his paycheck he is still a volunteer employee.

Ashley started as a PA-C student in November of 2021. Although she started as an employee a year later, Ashley has been with the clinic since the beginning.
Over the past few years, she has developed our Veterans programs and worked closely with Minnesota Adult and Teen challenge to create policies in the clinic as it relates to addiction Medicine.
She is expecting her second child in July, and we are excited Josh and Ashley are welcoming him into their family.
Madi is the clinic’s healthiest employee. She organizes times to stretch for the staff, and ensures everyone walks.
Our favorite Madi story is the time she requested Acai bowls for lunch on her birthday. They were good, but the staff was hungry about an hour later.
That’s about when we caught her sneaking a sandwich in the break room! All kidding aside, Madi creates our monthly nutrition blog, assists in educating patients regarding healthy dietary choices, and manages the IV infusions for us.

LeAnn was one of the first employees at North Star Family Medicine. She organized the clinic from sorting supplies to labeling everything.
LeAnn created many of our EHR templates for patient visits and set up the x-ray department. She really regrets not listening to Dr. Lelcu and becoming a nurse.
Even so, we are happy that she is graduating this fall from the Occupational Therapy PhD program, and we will all miss her smile in clinic.
Kellie is our behind-the-scenes marketing magician. She takes Dr. Lelcu’s random thoughts and creates our marketing materials, social media posts, and assists with our marketing events.
Kellie is flexible and thoughtful in regard to the marketing of our practice.
Dr. Lelcu appreciates Kellie’s calm attitude at events when she is anxious about the presentation or concerned about how we present the practice to the community.
Our only complaint about Kellie is she has a full-time job, works behind the scenes, and we don’t see her enough!
